The importance of Aadhar cannot be denied in our lives. It is a complete KYC (Know your customer) document that is accepted at all places throughout India. This is a 12 digit number that is unique in nature and any resident of India can obtain it by submitting supporting documents. Banks & financial institutions will not entertain you if you do not provide Aadhar. Aadhar or its electronic version called Eaadhar has the same acceptance & worth across India. This number contains your biometric as well as demographic details. Whenever an applicant applies for Aadhar, the system saves the details in the UIDAI (Unique Authority of India) database. These details can be accessed in any part of India. Your Aadhar details such as name, address, email, gender, and mobile number must be correct so that you could not face any trouble in the future.
When you apply for the Aadhar card, the data entry officer will enter your demographic details & biometric details. Demographic details include your name, address, gender, mobile number & email address. While biometric details include eye scans & fingerprints. Both of your details are combined and a unique Aadhar number is issued to the applicant.
The applicant can apply in any of the Aadhar centers to obtain his or her Aadhar card. The application will be accepted only if the applicant submits supporting documents such as pan card & voter id.
